Today a special friend shared a very special secret…
I was talking with my gorgeous girlfriend Melyssa Moniz and she noticed I was looking a little tired. She looked at me straight in the eyes, then asked a surprising question: “Have you given yourself some love today?” she asked. This took me by surprise as usually I am the one asking other people about their self-love stock pile.
I stopped and looked at her and all I could do was smile. She knew I needed some love. She then went on to let her secret out. She said:
“Do you know what I do every morning and every night? Well, when I’m in the shower I have a special little ritual. I pump some delicious smelling liquid soap into my hands, close my eyes and imagine the soap is full of a million little hearts. I then smother myself with the love soap! I smile and say I love, love, love you. This is my special self-love ritual and I think you should do it too!”
Well once she finished I couldn’t stop smiling! I loved hearing her secret, it was so great to hear someone else doing fun little things to give themselves some well earned love. I promised her I would try her ritual the very next time I stepped in the shower. I also asked if I could share her little secret to help others get some daily love.
That evening I had a Shower of Love and you know what? I’ve never felt so happy. I could not stop smiling. I even went one step further and imagined all the water as little pink hearts falling down on me. It was absolute heaven.
